Welcome to my blog! My name is Krystin Carroll and I am currently in the Mount Royal UT – Education Program.
I am hoping to become a teacher for the very simple reason of wanting to make a difference. Specifically, I want to make a difference in the lives of students. Although there are many different professions that could accomplish the task of positively impacting children’s lives, I feel that the field of education is one I excel at. Children come from a wide variety of backgrounds, some of which are not the most positive circumstances. As a future teacher, I plan on developing a positive classroom environment where all children feel welcome and like they belong. I want to show them just how much each individual life matter. I understand that teaching can be a very demanding job, one in which all aspects of your life will be affected by, but I know that I was meant to become a teacher, and the benefits outweigh the scarifies by ten fold.
Somethings I enjoy doing in my spare time are walking my dog Jaxon at the park, knitting myself and others scarves, as well as reading a good book. My hobbies are all very down to earth as I am an easy going person. I think that my low-key lifestyle is valuable to my teaching abilities as I don’t sweat the small stuff.
